A Rage Against The Machine brass cover band

(OK I already had The Apples brilliant version of Killing In The Name, but for these guys it's a full time job)

Nice! I really like that! 😎

Edit: the know your enemy cover is good too. I like the depth the brass adds to the tracks.

They also cover Tool, the internet gives the drummer a hard time over this.

Aye, Glasgow in March...

It gave me some British Sea Power "sea of brass" vibes except you don't get inappropriately touched by a bear halfway through.

Different approach to same stupid idea:

This one popped up in the playlists. Nice for a summers evening at a barbecue perhaps.

Just listened to them doing Kashmir. Her vocals are perfect. Want to see them live now.

Same! Today Mrs Pondo's band won a place I the finals of the National Concert Band Thing, so I've posted the link to Wake Up as a suggestion for a finals piece. If what you reap really IS what you so.... 🙂

Nice. Trombones need some brasso and some elbow grease.

Listening to and watching that again, there's a proper edge to it. There was a real edge to RATM but there's a different edge to that. The singer is just amazing.

I saw them here a few months back, leant them a guitar cab! They’re great, sadly Sophia wasn’t on that tour (her rapping is amazing) but the vocalist did a damn good job, especially on War Pigs. Kashmir instrumental was cool. The drummer is a lot more fiery live, chatted to him afterwards about that, I think he keeps it too tidy and controlled in the studio sessions.

As someone who’s spent a lot of time listening to Rage and Tool it’s cool to hear a different twist which is so well executed.

Just played that one, cheers! I've sseen a lot of War Pigs covers, including by Ozzy, and they've pretty much all been shit. And like, boringly shit, in exactly the same ways all the other ones were. Even if this one had been shit, it'd have been interestingly shit, but it's not.

That was awesome, hearing Rage's dirty riffs on a saxophone made me laugh out loud.

Great vocals too, normally thats where cover versions go wrong but she was brilliant.

Sir is unfamiliar with the original source material, perhaps. 😉
