I have a Ultrafire torch which uses the Trustfire TR18650 batteries.

Its quite an old torch and the batteries are dead, I was never comfortable with the batteries and charger as they got very hot and one was on the edge of melting.

Any suggestions for replacements?

Yes, I use Torchy for 18650 cells. I hear that Ultrafire and Trustfire batteries are lethal but the chargers are OK. Having said that, I still have an ancient Trustfire battery which is still going strong. My charger is a very old Ultrafire and it's been fine. I also have a few torches from Deal Extreme costing a fiver or so and they're OK if you don't mind them flickering or going off when they get bounced about.

IIRC, it’s UltraFire batteries that are iffy, although I’ve got a couple that I’ve been using for years; the red black and gold TrustFire cells seem to be pretty good, I’ve been using TrustFire 18650 and 14500 cells for as long, probably six or seven years, maybe more, and never had an issue at all.

Olight do their own batteries.

Just make sure whatever you go for, come from an official outlet / trusted seller as the amount of rebranded / fake batteries that are out there is phenomenal.

Have a look on AliExpress or Gearbest and take note of the reviews / customer satisfaction.
