Russian FSB going after Wagner head for not letting his mercenarys get brought into Russian control.
It's all kicking off between Wagner and the Russian Army. Claims that Wagner positions have been shelled by Russian artillery and now this. If this is true, Prigozhin is openly calling for armed insurrection against the Kremlin. Russian milblogger telegram channels are going mental!

Kimbers a better post than I was writing. Girkin and Prigozhin seem to be "rivals" if that applies to a blogger with large latent support and a proper warlord. Twitter going bonkers about this. Seems to be the ongoing power factions getting ready to replace Putin.

We know that the war was always a smash and grab about the money for the Oligarchs and at some point they would count the cost and call a regime change.

A coup / infighting / mutiny would precipitate a lot of chaos, both in occupied Ukraine and within Russian borders. It could end the invasion and harm to Ukrainians quite rapidly.
This could get interesting very quickly. Hopefully there will be significant opportunities for Ukraine while the Eye of Sauron is temporarily looking away.

The big question, if he is actually moving north, is whether regular army units will actively oppose him, or just sit on their hands?
Even with 20,000 plus men, there's no way he could get anywhere near unless he had received some assurances from elements of the regular army.
@Shermer75, I saw that. Two troop carriers driving by isn't very convincing. Not saying it isn't happening, but there needs to be some more compelling evidence.
I find it hard to believe that Prigozhin would be doing this without backing. Wandering around twitter I see claims the Rosgvardia chief has stated they will go where ordered but they will not fire on the Wagner troops.

It's good for Ukraine in an 'my enemy's enemy is my friend' kind of way. I agree it's not good for Russia or Europe long term, but if (big if) it brings the end of the war closer that's a good thing. If there is a coup it will take a good few years of Russia licking it's wounds before it could try again. It will still be a basket case, but that's probably the best we can hope for

It seems a little less spontaneous than that. Could be that the Kremlin got wind of his planning, sent down some troops to 'send a message', and now he's getting on with it? One does not simply march into Moscow, etc...

Sounds like Moscow is preparing for a military assault. Some suggestions that Putin has fled the Kremlin in a helicopter. Russian armed forces supposedly fired on a Wagner unit from a helicopter which was allegedly shot down. Is this the beginning of another Russian Revolution?
