Hi,

For some reason, the following link will not shorten on twitter.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2010/feb/21/photographer-films-anti-terror-arrest

I can't find reference to shortening URL's in the FAQ and I thought it was supposed to be an automatic thing?

Can some help me out please?

Many thanks,

Carl.

it's not auto, you need to use something like tinyurl

OK, thanks.

Though I am now confused, as I'm sure I've used it before and it was auto.

Must be my age creeping in ......

Thanks guys.

Cal.

if you use a twitter client such as Tweetie, you can do this stuff easier (although you still need to tell it to shorten the URL)

Twitpic does for photos. I use shadyurl.com for sinister abbreviations
