Long shot...

Has anybody got one?

I need to lift this stone trough and bench over the wall behind it (6 lumps of stone in total) and take it to my new house 2 miles away. Access on the other side of the wall is from a private drive, so there isn't room for anything wider than a Transit.

Will pay cash. Free place at HtN too if you want it.

If you're selling make sure the new owners haven't assumed it was included in the sale...

Would going round by the tree or out the front door not be easier?

If it has to go over the wall, 4 scaff planks and a block and tackle.

Or chat up some builders with a JCB (beer works) Blagged a fork lift this way once.

Halit silberman. We use them for some of our jobs. Don't know if they have got a transit sized one.

If the drive is really transit width tight then where do the outriggers go? Without them you risk the transit tilting/flipping especially if the top bit of the basin thingy is as heavy as it looks!

can you not just 5 -6 mates lift it on to a trolley and wheel it out, don't look that heavy.

It weighs about 600kg. We put it in and built the wall afterwards.

That bit of the garden is 10ft down a narrow flight of steps so it can't come out any other way.

I reckon it'll be cheaper to buy a new one than to extricate that

We bought it with wedding present money so we'd like to take it with us if possible.

Beginning to think that it will be staying put though.

You could always hire a Stihl saw & cut it into 2 [or 4] then reassemble with an appropriate adhesive - you'll probably need to pin it with staples too

Severe solution, I know - but doable if it's important to you
