Woke up this morning with a custardy toe nail.

Not done anything out of the ordinary in the last 12 months, so why have I been struck down with a custardy toe?

Hangover from a drunken "rude food" sesh - i.e.it could actually be custard.

Is there any pain? I can only think of an infected ingrowing toenail but that would
have you stuck to the ceiling*.

*not a reference to sex games gone wrong.

Toe Nail Custard.

The much anticipated fourth album by Captain Flashheart

Completes the trilogy in four parts started by the hugely successful albums “Massive Bouncy Pagga”, “Betwixt crimp and splash” and "Scrotal Fizz"

It's not a picture, it's a video. Even better. 👍

Actually we quite enjoy the odd episode of the Toe Bro at home.
He's a likeable chap, really good at pulling out ingrown nails.

I revel in the wincing!

God almighty, that picture* is bad enough. I'm not watching the video.

I had an ingrowing toenail when I was at high school, the pain is up there with toothache. I remember Brian Yates back-stepping and accidentally treading on it with his heel one time. He was a hefty lad and I was nine stone wet through and I about threw him down the stairs. I eventually DIY-surgeried it with a penknife, the depth of the spike it'd grown was astonishing. I didn't think nails could do that.

I did the same with a verruca once too, probably around the same age or a little younger. I had no idea what it was, just looked like a tiny little cluster of weird black spots. Man, they bleed when you dig them out, I wasn't expecting it to have a root.

My childhood was basically a Poundland version of WorldClassAccident, it's a miracle that I reached adulthood as intact as I did. I was on first name terms with the A&E receptionist aged like 14.**

Snap! Dug around it on the side of my finger with a compass point. Ripped it out with teeth. There was a lot of blood. It was a physics lesson, but biology seemed to be the subject du jour. don’t try it at home kids! Leaves quite a big hole too.

Once you’ve successfully gone around the perimeter it left a satisfying wobbly lump. Curiosity got the better of me. Won’t do that again.

I've pulled a verruca out too. From the amount of blood I though I'd pulled a drain plug out.

I’ve got copies of the The Whole Earth Catalog, and The Last Whole Earth Catalog, and somewhere in one of them there was an article about warts and verrucas, getting rid of them by charming them away with a Swiss Army Knife; didn’t happen to read the same article, by any chance? 😱

I've had both ingrowing toenail removal - we had work BUPA at the time so they did it under a general with a day stay in the private hospital!!

and also DIY finger wart removal in double maths. I didn't know you had an artery in your finger, but **** it bled!
