[Closed] Things to Do Near Lausanne

So I've been moved with work to Yverdon-les-Bains, around half an hour North of Lausanne, for a couple of months and I'm looking for things to do, places to eat and stuff to stop me going insane in my hotel room in the local area.

I've looked at going up the mountain to snowboard on a weekend, and with access to a car this is possible if I can get my gear out here.

Is there anywhere in Switzerland or France that won't be covered by snow at this time of year where I could go rent a bike for a day and ride some trails?

Any advise to stop me climbing the walls would be greatly appreciated!
