We will be in touch
Good day to you all. I am travelling to Helsinki for a weekend with the lovely lady, and was wondering if there was actually anything to do there? She has been before and says it is boring, but she needs to go there for at least one day, so I suggested we meet there and have a long weekend. Reluctantly, she agreed, but now I need to prove there is something to do, and am drawing a blank as to what.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated...
Get on the ferry to Tallinn and go on the piss. It's what the Finns do.
When are you going?
Some of this might be handy:

devs - that means admitting I am wrong
nedrapier - thanks, will have a good read of that later
Go and have a look around the Suomenlinna
I love Helsinki loads to see and do, what did she find boring?
You could do a cruise to Stockholm if she really finds the place boring or as mentioned Tallinn.
dude, I've just had a re-read - it might not be that useful!
Go and have a look around the Suomenlinna
Most of a day taken care of.
Pick up a map and plan a visit to the submarine Vesikko. The walk from the main ferry stop and back will cover most of the islands. The sub itself is 5Euro (+1 to add the war museum), and is well worth a visit - ask the guide what the crew was.
Do NOT eat the little fish people will offer you samples of in Kauppatori Market (give one to the missus and watch her face if you want a laugh and don't mind a period of not talking)
