Really well set up gears.

Anyone else imagining an extreme ironing canoeist balancing a coffee mug and snicking up to the big ring whilst catching a wave?!

Hearing my lad (5) run about the house ... not when he's tearing it up mind... just when he want to get from one place to the next, he runs ... love hearing the padpadpadpadpad.

I was going to say Wiminz, but day is complicated beyond small, so washing machines. The reassuring whooshing and spinning sound whilst crashed out on the sofa after a long ride.

How mental my dog goes when I've been out, even if I've only been out for 5 minutes she goes absolutely ape and runs round the house like something daft, makes me chuckle so much.

It would be nice - just for once - to not crash first time out with new gloves

I went to visit the Dalai Lama once at his home in India, someone asked him what makes him happy, he replied "Good sleep, good food!"
I now find 20 years later that to be so true! Back then I could go without both for long periods, now if both are taken care of I can manage most of the maelstrom of life.

Unseasonably dry trails... Right now for example!

Lying in on a Monday morning when everyone else is at work. I do have to work Saturdays though in fairness.

Seeing how excited the spaniel gets when she thinks we might be going out again. Just makes me smile thinking about it. And getting into bed with clean sheets after a good shower. Oh, and good simple tasty food. But not all at the same time.

Walking the dog.
When there's no-one else about, the sun is out and he is happily tearing around.
