Manoeuvres are off because... the big scary planes might crash if they get dirty. Who'd have thought a war plane might have to fly through some smoke and ash?
A few conspiracy theories are already being banded around thanks to the timing of the Volcano and the largest NATO exercise in some years
These NATO exercises take place twice a year off the Scottish coast. There's nothing much special about this one.
