Aye, tis fine fair but as Stu points out, nae cheap. The bacon rolls in the coffee shop down the road (fake cafe nero) are good.

Sorry, the best (home made) cakes, buns and coffee in Aviemore is the Ord Ban almost opposite Bothy Bikes. End of

Good atmosphere, good coffee, great all day breakie (inc veggie version), great cakes. Empties your wallet though.

Cairngorm Hotel for breakfast, nothing else comes close. I can't remember how much it was, but it was a load of food for not much money

Mountain cafe is good but too busy in peak times for our liking. Even out of season the lunch queue snakes down the stairs into the outdoor shop. Really good coffee though!

Best cake is Inshriach Nurseries though, by far! The fc cafe at Glenmore isn't bad either.

If you're up that way, the inn at Dalwhinnie is good as well.
