I can't quite decide about this. Some dreadful acting (the journo and the younger French cop) and quite a clunky storyline, but James Nesbitt is on form.
Whaddya think?

I think it's ace although without Nesbitt it would be ok. I just hope it does not turn out a convoluted mess. My main reservation about it is the fact that it's on BBC1 and not BBC2.

The fall is very good, not sure about what they will do with the second series though.

First one was good. Last nights was painfully slow, and not half as engaging. Its an 8 parter and it already looks as if its probably a decent 4 parter thats being dragged out

Yes! He's a much better comedy actor. Got a funny face ain't he.

Having young kids myself I am finding it painful to watch and it'll only serve to make me paranoid.

Did we see the bloke who pulled strings to get Mrs Selfridges dad into the hospice in episode one? I couldn't work out if he was significant yet.

I enjoyed the second episode too - but I am sure the twists will start getting silly (especially as it has six episodes to go).

He was in the photographs the detective had at the end.

So what was it and who does it belong to?

My money is on the husband of the hotel owner - not sure what it is though. 😕

That's who my wife said did it the very first time we saw him.
Don't know what was in the envelope though?
Room key fob?

Isn't it a sobriety coin given out at AA meetings ? Wasn't there some reference to this earlier in the series ?
