I disagree with the copy&paste data-collection concept - 1

Barnes is right, it's not transactional. You cannot lock the scores before updating them. So the number could go down. e.g.

1st user writes: Broken fingers - 1
2nd user reads: Broken fingers - 1
3rd user reads: Broken fingers - 1
2nd user writes: Broken fingers - 5 [because he broke 4 fingers, plus 1 = 5]
3rd user writes: Broken fingers - 2 [because she broke 1 finger, plus 1 = 2]

Not numpties, but independent thinkers. 😉
