MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
It's not enough that English voters might have given us a Tory government, they're trying to give us the blame too 😆
Why I laugh? 3 beers, a good gig, and I am a total lightweight. Innes and Gunn is orrible though.
Two beers, a (large) gin and now a rum. Think this will be my last.
Dunno, just making a brew!
Desperately don't want the Jockanese to have any say on the forming a coalition UK government. Especially with that red ****.
4 x Tripel Karmeliet, 1 x Meantime IPA 750ml but I am getting some work done. Sort of.
I have half a keg of homebrew left, plus the cooking sherry if things get desperate.
So it's Scotland's fault for scaring the English into voting Tory?
No suggestion of blame. But my opinion is without the perceived SNP 'threat' Labour would have won more English seats and would have won.
Pure opinion, of course.
Two beers, a (large) gin and now a rum. Think this will be my last.
Steady on there fella. The exit polls might be wrong.
May have overdone it with the port. Legs feel kinda funny - I'm expecting Henry VIII style sores in the morning. Damn that high sugar content. 🙁
Peston, nooooo....where is Flanders when you need her.
Consoling Ed?
Exit poll increasingly looks right according to the polling companies on twitter.
2 pints, a very large vesper martini, 2 glasses red, also now eyeing the whiskey... but also trying to be careful, planning on being up until 7ish
Tory sources on Twitter:
Are you voting Tory?
Yes
Why?
Sturgeon
EDIT: Previously UKIP maybes
Why are you all assuming I'm English because I questioned the SNP?
I suspects his thread my break a few records. I'm off for more wine in the hope it all kicks off soon.
Damn you and your black heart, Jeremy Vine. 👿
Tory sources on Twitter:Are you voting Tory?

Anecdotally, I know of a number of people who are died in the wool labour and Lib Dem voters who have done just that. Including most of my family. It makes me rather sad.
Up bright and early and that exit pole is a bit of a surprise, be interesting to see how this pans out.
So it's Scotland's fault for scaring the English into voting Tory?Rubbish. This election, like most of them, is won or lost in England.
Country 2013 review
England 502
Wales 30
Scotland 52
Northern Ireland16
Total 600
Wonder why that is
igm - MemberSNP take Sunderland Central?
You are now being greedy ... 😆
[quote=bencooper ]So it's Scotland's fault for scaring the English into voting Tory?
Rubbish. This election, like most of them, is won or lost in England.
Do you not believe that many English swing voters dislike the SNP? Why do you think the Tories were so keen to get Ed to commit to some sort of potential deal with them? You're right about where the election is won and lost in terms of seats, but incorrect to assume that people in England pay no attention to what's going on up North. Unintended consequences and all that.
Is that Jeremy Vine?
Looks like a cross between Nick Hewer (apprentice) and Juilan Clary
tom harris more or less conceded glasgow south there, hearing that the SNP has probably took rutherglen as well, which I'm stunned about.
58 SNP is possible, tbh I wouldn't be surprised if the 1 left was a tory! 😆
Danny Alexander oot.
Have they predicted what the 1 non-SNP is, in this exit poll? Be a laugh if it was the tory.
Lib dems in the Northern Isles would be my guess....
tbh if this is a big a rout as that, if labour are to have any hope of a recovery and keeping any seats at holyrood next year, they are going to have to become independent from the london party.
Rumours Jim Murphy is getting papped out on his ear!
Gogglebox Election Special on Ch 4 Now.
"Do you go to food banks you fat faced tory toff..?"
hy I laugh? 3 beers, a good gig, and I am a total lightweight. Innes and Gunn is orrible though.
Have fun with your eventual independence and *sarcasm on* all that oil wealth *sarcasm off*
Good to know that Scots didn't actually want to influence Westminster, just break away.

+1. Can but hope they hear this wake up call.
Sturgeon speaks passionatley and is a bloody good public speaker. All UK parties could take a bloody good look at her and see what people want.
Dumfries & Galloway could go to Finlay Carson (local Tory to me-only 4miles away......EEEK 😯 imagine that?), lots of support from the farming, retired community.
Awwww... I just agreed with Mandy. That's not on.
Mandy is a legend, bring him back! One has to admire the deviant machiavellian ****er.
Tom_W1987 - MemberGood to know that Scots didn't actually want to influence Westminster, just break away.
You're right, that's why they voted so overwhelmingly for independence.
Boo Gogglebox just finished . Wtf is paxman doing on ch4???
Bradford recounting - Galloway going going but not yet gone
You're right, that's why they voted so overwhelmingly for independence.
Well then, it's either stupidity or they've swung over to independence.
Take your pick, we'd have been better off without them.
Gogglebox of Milliband interview on later. Is this Paxo's way of telling us he's had it with the Beeb?
<On the whisky now. This can't end well>
Anyone got an in on the Clegg hotline?
I'd like to know if that guy's losing his seat before I fall asleep from a port-induced overdose.
ITV calling results before BBC
Back on BBC1. Christ, Grayson Perry has let himself go...
Labour almost missed the party in Swindon. I wonder how telling that is.
It takes some nerve to go on national television and describe the tory campaign as being "positive".
Clegg is safe, Tories voters will have saved him - most Tories think it would be the most important win
Night all, still can't help feeling that the actual picture may turn out different in the morning, can't face any more now though.
Clegg is safe, Tories voters will have saved him - most Tories think it would be the most important win
Bugger. That was going to be one for the highlight reel.
Wow Swindon swings away from Labour
ITV reporting Farage has lost
David Mitchell is doing a phone in... I'm through the looking glass right now...
More Whiskey, and then probably coffee.
rumours that stw's favourite politician has won! 😆 arise Alex Salmond MP! 😆
It bothers me that I needed the news to remind me that I don't know where the hell Swindon is…
* heads off to Google maps and hopes things get a little more interesting soon *
UKIP last (of proper parties) in Putney, result!
Salmond has won = lots of sources, LD conceded
The Taiwanese have summed it up nicely
Robinson saying how amazing it would be if Ed has done worse than Gordon.. Not really when you consider UKIP...
Rumours from Labour that all of Glasgow has gone to the SNP.
I don't really know how this works, so forgive my ignorance, but given what has happened to the lib dems tonight (If exit poll is to be believed), why on earth would any other party go in to coalition with the tories again?
Has Farage lost in Thanet?
Yes (farage losing)
Also looking like Jim Murphy is out.
Terrifying how right-wing England has gone, however.
How the **** is any parliament going to issue dictats from Westminster to a Scotland with blanket SNP. MP's?
Good luck with that
😀 @ Binners
Been wondering how you're coping with that darned exit poll…
Or the North which will be predominantly labour. Or Wales and NI for that matter....
I think the UK may well be screwed.
Are we seeing Balkanisation/Americanisation of UK politics?
I want to see some Labour heavy weights losing their seats ... 😆
Why?
Naaaah ... Just north/south divide innit?
Actually ... The South east/everywhere else divide.
Everyone's been talking about scots nationalism. Bollocks. Independence for the South East of Engerland!!!
Milliband Googlebox on Ch 4 now.
Throwing in the towel. Night folks.
Bah, lightweight! 😀
[quote=binners ]Actually ... The South east/everywhere else divide.
Far closer to Cardiff than London here, and solidly Tory (looking at the results coming in, likely to be a huge Tory majority, though probably Labour in second - the Labour candidate has actually had the best campaign - which is unusual)
Recount at Bradford West. Gorgeous George could be in trouble.
Yes George, they do...
Well I said I was going to bed when it was clear what was happening. Never imagined I'd be going to bed before 2am!
Seems to me the message is pretty clear. Both labour and the libdems have suffered from their alignment to the tories either directly in the libdems case or indirectly in labour's case. The libdems have lost votes to the tories, if there's no diffference people may as well vote for the real thing. Labour have lost votes to the SNP, UKIP and greens, if they're not different enough people will vote for alternatives. Maybe this election is evidence that parties should stick to their core principles and not try to ape other parties in pursuit of power? Having said that though, the BBC are already trotting out the line that labour aren't centrist enough. I fail to see how that's the case seeing as most of the damage has been done in Scotland.
How the **** is any parliament going to issue dictats from Westminster to a Scotland with blanket SNP. MP's?
Should be quite easy for English ConDems or even ConDUPs to issue dictats to the rebels up North. Off to bed...
Marr saying that he thinks Cameron may be the last British Prime Minister, sees the break up of the Union. Commentator saying that the campaign has be run in a negative fashion that looked to blame different demographics (eg scotland) and the unionist parties have failed in Scotland.
Yup, Balkanisation.
Meh.
PA report Walsall, Labour loss to Tory, Labour Balkan getting smaller.
