Don't want to seem a hater, but I just saw a gentleman cycling on the pavement in the dark with no lights, but what struck me more was the coupling of mtb suspension with plastic pedals,augmented by orange reflectors.
What other jarring contradictions have people witnessed between bike, rider, and accessories?

I'm lost. Whats the contradiction? What is this a telltale sign of? Is it like the handkerchief code?

Haha maybe. Just jarring combinations. Could go off piste with it, e.g. shellsuit and brogues.
