Have never owned a pair in the past - have always made do with trainers for any walking/climbing etc. But am now looking at getting a decent pair that are going to see me through a few winters (if that's realistic) on anything from walking the dog in sh1tty weather through to all dayers in hilly/trekky Wales/Scotland/wherever else.
Haven't thought of a budget, but I guess upwards of £100 is a good place to start?
What's on the menu according to you yomping types?

Cheers BM.
Blimey, even TJ had something useful to say without 'justifying' it 🙂
