Go to a tattooist that specialises in what you want done, not the closest or one who's portfolio you like most (unless it is in the style you want of course).

+1 for Red Hot and Blue. Jason did mine but I don't think he's there anymore. They only do custom work which is what attracted me.

I went to Tribe One, Charlotte who did mine has moved on but she was great, and they've had a good rep for years.

there is a wee cafe in porty the girl has some stunning tattoos in her calves she had them done at braveheart in porty
