Am thinking that their ability to play Skyplayer is a decent reason to get one for us.

I use mine to stream music, films & pictures from my PC as well as the Sky Player. You have Zune on there too for renting films to stream. Last FM player is excellent too.
Just search on Google shopping links for the best price but you're looking at £180-£200 for the latest model

You can do Facebook, Twitter and all that shite too. I never ever use mine for them though - everything is a bit slow and clunky when you're used to doing all these things on a computer.
Sky player is apparently coming to ps3 - I would get one over an xbox as we use ours daily.
Streams music & films from laptop, linked to lovefilm account - quality is surprisingly good, also plays blu ray, games, iplayer, 4od, itv player (not that anyone with a brain seems to watch much on itv).
It's even got qriocity sony's bodged attempt at delivering spotify.
