Afternoon all, looking at getting a Netbook, something I can use on the fly for a bit of web browsing, working on a few documents (Word/Office etc) as well as listening to music/watching movies*, looking at netbooks for the weight saving and the general portability over my current laptop which after a while I can feel that I'm carrying with me. Anyone got one, anyone use one, anyone got anythoughts or recommendations, real life usage and that?
Cheers all

*iTunes is on a separate HD connected through USB

I've got the earlier version of the acer aspire one. I wrote most of a PhD thesis on it, including editing diagrams and the like. It's good enough, just might take a bit of adjustment if you're used to working with lots of windows open at once (runs out of screen size rather than power).

It's worth getting one with good battery life, or a bigger aftermarket battery, to get the most out of the portability.

Mine seems to just about cope with films, but not HD, although I think newer netbooks have better processors and video chips anyway.

My missus had a Packard Bell Dot S2 and I think it's pretty good. Battery lasts about 7 hours on it!
