anyone had this?
is it worth the £35 per bottle? I've had a few 18%+ beers which were nice tasting, but obviously nothing close to that of TNP.
Cheers,

is it worth the £35 per bottle?
Of course not. In the same way that £100 bottles of wine and titanium bolt upgrade kits for bikes aren't worth it.
Not sure about the TNP, but I tried their trashy blonde on saturday and it was delicious
I've tried alot of the other brew dog stuff and I think its great. Their beers are for savouring not gulping. I think it comes with a stopper because your not suppose to drink it all at once and treat it more like a whisky.
Reckon I might treat myself to one for my birthday.
is it worth the £35 per bottle?
of course it is, in the same way as £100 bottles of wine and titanium bolt upgrade kits for bikes are worth it, if that's floats yer boat
I think you missed my point, Nick. Not being worth it doesn't mean you shouldn't buy it (I do after all have ti bolt upgrades on my bike 😉 ). I'd still claim that if you're bothered about VFM as implied by "is it worth" then the answer is definitely no.
well, what i mean is... there's an american brew in the mid 20% range that's expensive, rare and tastes atrocious. I'm a big fan of brewdog but i don't know anyone who's had this particular beer.
So, if it's nice then yes £35 is fair. If it tastes like kerry katonas feet then it's not worth it.
If a few people reckon it's nice then i'll get it. Obviously, that £35 could be used to buy loads of other beers i want to try too. In my experience of sub 20% beers, tasting notes and guides offer very little to me. I guess that may not be quite as true for TNP (i expect it to pack a punch tastewise) but always worth asking others
So, anyone had any tastes of it?
The old record holder, Roger and Out, tasted foul IMHO, it was like treacle.
And isn't freeze distilling cheating?
Its impossible to get yeast to ferment at those alcohol levels. So it either has to be fortified or distilled.
Not had any, but IME anything over 9% is foul. The sugar / alcohol balance is not good. The beers become barley wine with far too much body. Better of spending £15 on a good merlot or Cabernet.
