OK, got a BB Bold and Playbook and really like the way the phone works with the tablet and that I can email and text, plus contacts through the Bridge Software. Downside with BB stuff is apps are limited, even with a loose Android deal.
Question is, apart from i-pad / i-phone combo - which other tablets and phones work in the same way as the BB (as I'm due an upgrade).
Any Android combination will work the same.
I'm not sure what you mean by "work in the same way", but a wifi hotspot is a wifi hotspot, it should be platform agnostic.
What hammyuk said. I use Motorola Defy+ with Nexus7 and Sony tablets. (and with my pc)
With my Playbook I can literally see what's on my BB live (texts, emails, photo's, attatchments etc) and I can also use my BB as a remote control for my Playbook and a wireless keyboard for both.
Do any of the Android offerings / pairings do this?
I havent seen the remote control thing on a tablet/phone combo but the emails/pics/synicing is pretty standard if you use all the google services.
