why do they make these, and I suppose many other, bikes so bloody small and uncomfortable.

Give my back my old, slow F650 single grandard bike please.

All bikes are getting smaller. I'm glad I'm not the only one moaning about it! My Hornet cripples me after about an hour riding it

I had a Fazer for a while and had to givemy legs a stretch after about 45mins, not at all comfortable.

I find most bikes too big for me. I ride a sv650, and its about perfect, but is smaller than your bandit. No point me looking at Triumphs or most BMW's.

Its a hire bike whilst mine is fixed after the dustbin lorry knocked it over.
Fantastic engine, handles well, easy to ride slowly in town but it seems like it was ergonomically desgined around a Gorilla

I ride a sv650

I used to ride one too 🙁

BUT this MTB stuff is much more involving, thrilling and able to do it no matter the weather!!! 😀

Odd, they're the same size as a bandit 1200 which I have. I'm built like a concrete gorilla and it fits me just fine.

maybe its just my dodgy hips then but it feels like my knees are around my ears.

Ah right. If it's your first road bike (rather than trail), yeah, it'll feel like that. You should be on the balls of your feet rather than have the pegs under your arches, which may be something todo with the knees in the air feeling. But If you are just tall you can make it fit better.

Aftermarket pegs (rearsets) help, which I have on mine, or you can put lower pegs on by researching what wil fit. I have Buell pegs on my Firestorm (part nos NO521.1AD & NO520.1AD).

You can get your seat rebuilt higher for not very much (like £100). Not done it to my current bikes but have on a Cagiva and KTM.

Renthals help on the bandit. The extra leverage speeds up handing and the lower, wider profile shits weight onto the front.

My brother had a 1200 Bandit for several years, in fact he was known as Bandit Jon in the Ogri MCC. It fitted him perfectly, and he's 6'4" and 18stone. Sadly he clipped a car at 20mph, and fell into the path of an Alpha doing 50. He luckily survived, but the bike got totalled. He's now riding his old Honda CB750KZ, until he can afford a replacement.
