I was planning to come but managed to miss my train by 1 minute. 🙁

I did eventually get to Swinley - an hour late - but of course I had no idea who to look out for! But from those photos I can see that you guys were entering the picnic area at the discovery centre just as I was leaving. I guessed it might be you since it was the only group I'd seen all day with more than 1 female!

It might have been for the best that I missed the group ride anyway - I discovered how unfit I am and was done in after an hour and a half.

Hopefully I'll make it next time though.

Is that a Ti 456 in the posted photo? Damn! Even more peeved I missed the ride now. I'm giving serious consideration to one of those and a chance to try one for size has now been missed!

Well, what a day! Having spent a sleepless night worrying about this - ie would anyone turn up - it turned out really well. Thanks for coming along everyone, it was good to meet some new faces too 🙂

Swinley wasn't at it's best, far too much mud and disruption to the trails 😥 Oh and please keep it to yourselves that I led you down a trail that was blocked off!

Thanks to bananaworld for leading the fast group in the morning, he did a sterling job!

Ti was in abundance today including two bikes from the same manufacturer. Note to rOcKeTdOg - why wasn't mine in a pic cos she's such a poser, unlike her ugly rider 😉

To those who missed it - bad luck.

Why is this in the chat forum?

Anyway, I'll get my few pics uploaded soon, after I've taken the sick dog out.

I'm not single and I survived 😉

litter is very democratic. Anyone who favours it can do it, and anyone who doesn't can pick it up! And it creates jobs...

Forget about the pictures we want the gossip.

Gentlemen never tell tales, don't you know that!

But seeing as none of us there could be accused of being a gentleman I'm pretty sure...

Well, it was a riot! Swords were crossed, battle was fought, with the final victor successfully staking his claim to the prize of a date with the lovely C_G and Aleigh, together!!!

Bet you all wish you'd come now eh! 😉

Yup, absolutely! 🙁

Anyway, if anyone has learnt a lesson today about burning the candle at both ends today, it is me... Stopped off in a motorway service station on the way home as was feeling a touch tired, and needed to visit the little boys room... Dropped my shorts, sat on the bog, fell asleep for the best part of 45 minutes! 😳

Still, was worth it though 😉

Thanks C_G and Bananaworld for organising and leading.

Sorry I disappeared without saying goodbye. I had the weirdest pain and I thought I was going to be sick, so I headed off to my car quietly.

Cheers to everyone for another great ride, will have to sort out something down this way for those of you who thought it was muddy! The answer to the duck question is apparently 10-15 years 🙂

Oooooh, pics coming in thick and fast!

So, there were 17 of us. We had a great day, everyone behaved impeccably [s]apart from jedi who is a big kid at heart[/s].

What do the nay-sayers say now then?

Shall I pencil in a date for the next one? 😆

Well, that was a great day. Good to meet so many cheerful folk, even the ones nursing raging hangovers. I thought the conditions at swinley weren't actually as bad as I had been expecting, just needs spring to start springing to get those trees soaking up the moisture.
