Slightly unmanly question, but I am in touch with my feminine side 😉

So what do you use?

all in one hair/body wash?

separate shampoo/conditioner/shower gel?

muc-off? / park tool chainbrite? 😆

Cosmopolitan man that I am I have been using Aveda shampoo and conditioner, as the missues likes the smell and I used to live in the states where it was much cheaper, but think its overkill as I have fairly short hair and dont think I need conditioner, and its £12 a bottle. Also using Molton Brown Shower gel as the missus buys it, smells great but also pricey.

trying to save a bit of cash and wondering whats cheap, but will still make me smell good? 😀

Lynx/Axe products not an option as they are bogging.

radical - dispensed with shower gel / shampoo many years back, so soap / body scrub but no shampoo any more. remarkable after a month or so of bedding in, hair returns to 'normal' and I'd never go back..

I never ever shampoo, even when I dont have a number2 buzz. Your hair regenerates/self-cleans after a while. I found I got dandruff in part due to aggressive shampoo drying out my scalp.

I always use this (from Sainsburys)- smells natural and lasts forever
[img] [/img]

Finally I use natural deodarent from Lush (the shop).

Shower?
I just rub myself down with a handful of wet sand.

Or maybe some Radox.
I only shampoo my hair once a month or so (and that's just to get proper muck out of it) with whatever the wife has left lying around in the shower basket. Why cant they stick to one brand? It's never the same one from one month to the next. And as for trying to work out which one of the three identical bottles in the "extensive hair hydro therapy system" is the one for cleaning your hair with...well, it's a challenge is all I can say...

Whatever is on offer in Tesco, which is usually Imperial Leather or Nivea shower gel. Same goes for shampoo, don't use shampoo as I don't have much hair left and its rather short.

...and £12 for a bottle of shampoo or that shower gel!!? WTF 😯
Are you have a giraffe!? 😆

Whatever the Mrs buys. I can't use soap though - it dries my skin out.

following the words, "cosmopolitan", "missus likes the smell", "conditioner", "£12 a bottle"....... i am not qualified to answer.

current shower gel - addidas sommat (cheap)- it gets rinsed off.
head and shoulders - they are all the same, buy the cheap one (currently with a lemon pic on the bottle) - as above its gets rinsed off and my hair is rarely longer than grade 8
Sure deodourant - not the cheapest, it leaves white stuff everywhere, but whatever is on offer when i need it

Joop or Hugo Boss for a hint of smelly, i shave.

In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial masque which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

This exact thing here

But only because they sell it in the Tourist Information Centre and that's the closest shop to my house, so I'm still plenty grrrrrrrrr. And I get a few more man points for not knowing WTF patchouli is.

Whatever the Mrs buys for me on her 'Big Shop'

As for shampoo? I have no hair, well, its guard off zero blade on the old razor, so I just use some of her conditioner.. 😳
At the moment Lynx is £1 a go, so we appear to have been stockpiling this...

Me too! Always in the cheap offer bit at Wilkinsons!

Is BoardinBob American Psycho?

I sometimes use White Spirit on my hands if I've been fettling the drivetrain on the bikes, but I'm a bit concerned about the carcinogenic effects so don't use it too much.

This thread reminds me of a recent visit to spa with my better half. Final treatment was a facial.

Therapist (!): so please can you detail your facial skin care regime
Me: my what?
Therapist: your facial skin care regime?
Me: Cold water and a shave most mornings
Therapist: what else? Which moisturiser etc?
Me: Cold water, no soap, nothing else....nice, blemish free skin!
Therapist: (now lying on the floor hyper-ventilating) OMG how can you mistreat/abuse yourself so badly (meaning, damn how can I achieve my sales targets on over-priced pampering stuff)

Facial cut short while paramedics treated the therapist.

On a scale of 10 points the Max Gnarrr..
I use Aveda Rosemary shampoo and conditioner on my fine and flowing locks, then gel with Aveda "medium hold", shower in Aveda Rosemary showergel and moisturise in Aveda Rosemary moisturiser..
I’m a 9.5 pointer on scale of Max Gnarr, the .5 being knocked off due to the use of non Aveda non Aluminium based, but 100% organic deoderant from a French brand I can't remember the name of..

I buy it cos I like it and always have and will continue to do so until someone screws the lid on and turns up the burners.

I use a heady balm of nettles, poison ivy and used engine oil, with a bramble to scrub.

When that's not available (it goes out of season rapidly) I use Dove soap and whatever shampoo my wife has to hand. Usually Dove with the blue writing. Not sure which type that is.

As above, whatever is cheap / lying around. I don't like any smelly stuff though.

What Stoner says is true - there is always a myriad of confusing and ever-changing collection of various cleaning "regimes" in the bathroom.

Whatever is there.

I'm surprised at those that don't wash their hair for months at a time - I know it's supposed to sort itself out, but surely we're all a pretty active bunch on here? What happens when you get a good sweat on, your hair must stink?!

I seem to have a collection of soaps. Last for ages and no plastic waste. I stay in hotels a lot so can't remember when I last bought any.

Sainsbury's/Original Source fruity shower gel.

Aussie Luscious Long shampoo & conditioner 😳 My hair's not particularly long, the missus likes the stuff so we share. Occasionally it's Miracle Moist if that's on offer 😉

Shower gel is used with one of these:

[img] [/img]

You only need a drop of gel and it gets the dead layer off. Makes a little bottle of shower gel go a long way on a camping trip!

I mean, wire wool and Dettol.

Original Source / Supermarket own brand shower gel on £1 offer.

T-Gel coal tar shampoo. Otherwise I get dandruff.

I do spend money on shaving cream from Lush and Issey Miyake after shave balm / smelly stuff.

The Wife goes mad if I use her scrunchy thing to get the mud off or of I leave pubes in it.

I use whatever The Wife buys...usually something cheap from Wilkinsons.

It usually consists of separate shampoo and shower gel, but i couldn't tell you what brands they are.

I'll also use stuff I've stolen from hotels.

I like the minty stuff though, but she never buys that.

Depends on when I am showering:

Post gym/ride/run (evening shower) - cheap shower gel that is on offer from supermarket.
Morning shower before work - 2in1 loreal shampoo/conditioner stuff
If I am making an effort for going out - Molton Brown or Clarins shower gel that I ALWAYS have left over from Birthdays or Christmas!

Dove Soap, since I've come to the conclusion that all shower gel is a con. You can never get just a couple of drops out of the bottle (especially the Source ones), hence you use masses of it and have to buy more.

I do like the Mint Source shower gel feeling though. mmm.... tingly. Like coating yourself in a layer of that 'tingly KY' stuff...

Not from my own beauty regime, but my gf has a brilliant history of washing her hair with random stuff whenever we stay at my Mum's. The first time it was with some dog shampoo that was left at the side of the bath (she's not got fleas mind so can't complain), and the next it was paintbrush conditioner!

Personally it's whatever is left over from previous mountain mayhems/crap xmas presents.

LOL @ [s]Patrick Bateman[/s] BoardinBob

Minty Original Source FTW again here, with own-brand Head and Shoulders when hair is getting long (i.e. anything much more than its normal number 5).

Standard Products
Head and Shoulders if I'm washing my hair (not daily)
Dove Soap
Nivea Sensitive Shaving Gel

If hair very dry (eg from salt-water sports or dry hot days) then Dove/Aussie Conditioner

Soap (whatever's cheapest at the time) and Sainsbury's shampoo, 99p for a big bottle I think.

For showering at work I keep some shower gel (does hair too), again whatever's cheapest at the time.

The OH has a few more things than that but she's pretty good compared to some!

I like the Original Source shower gel also, although the mint one makes my balls feel like they've been in the freezer. Currently on a lime one, with lemon to follow. Zesty! 😀
Head and Shoulders for the noggin, "But, you don't have dandruff,"
"Exactly."
