Most of you lads probably look very similar to this guy below. Whilst your fixing pc's and being over weight, I'm probably lifing weight's at the gym so Im able to look after myself and others rather than waddling away.

Cynic-al;

I'm not her. I wasn't in her situation. I can't explain what went through her mind the moment before she decided to glass the bloke. Maybe it was just a desperate frightened instinctive reaction. But it took some courage, I reckon. And I don't blame her. As for the Law; well, I dare say she'd face quite severe punishment for her actions, but it was her decision to make. As far as I saw, she had the courage and presence of mind to act the way she did, rather than allow herself to continue to be molested.

As for 'right on'; you seem to be concerned rather with the bloke being the 'victim'. IMO, he got what was coming to him. Nasty predatory bastard.

I can see why yunki

Why wouldn't I? Little so and so just needed taking down a peg or two..

I sorted the situation quickly and effectively and I think both me and him are spiritually richer for it..
Does it make me hard? I'm not sure

If he was your mate ...."he'd had a really difficult childhood, just had a really hard day and he was just having a few beers and he couldn't help the effect that had on him diddunt he? Now I'm not saying what he did was right but no way should he have gotten glassed for it. Anyway I wish I'd never mentioned this."

Sorry I haven't given you enough attention. Troll? Perhaps that's what you are.
When someone challenges me? Sorry did I miss something important you wrote all by yourself? Spout such nonsense? Easy to say, hard to back up.

There, was that enough attention?

Time for my spoof MH "cover" page pic to get the armchair warriors all frothing. Using a pic from about a year back - toned up a bit since then. And kneeling so a bad angle for "posing"

Actually, bad idea...

Let's see how many armchair warriors post their pics up...

I can always rely on you Al - Commercial Lawyer and ultimate armchair warrior/cyber geek/pedant extremo.

I knew the keyboard warriors would get all over excited. Come on guys, most of you are IT nerds that cycle a bit, moan a lot and get a kick out of digging at people - best targets are those that actually DO stuff.

Always appropriate for many of you:

I think it's very rare that anyone has to be involved in a fight that doesn't want to be..
As a responsible adult and a coward I choose quite vehemently and ferociously NOT to get into physical fights..

Absolutely. I haven't hit anyone since I was 7.

You can almost always avoid a fight. I have not lived a timid life but I have never had a need to hit anyone since I was a small child

You can almost always avoid a fight.

I'd disagree with you there. Sometimes you can't run. Then it means you can fight, or you can just stand there and get beaten up.

So ok, you can avoid a fight always, but if the price is getting beaten up, is it worth avoiding?

Realman - hence almost always.

I have been attacked and still did not hit the guy. I restrained him and then legged it. You can most of the time run.

Well you are in NO position to fight if your legs dont work surely.

I restrained him

So that's not your idea of fighting?

I think "almost always" just isn't the right choice of words. Of course, it depends completely on what you get up to on a Friday/Saturday night, etc. etc. But I'd say its more 50/50 whether you have the chance to run or not.

Well you are in NO position to fight if your legs dont work surely.

That's kind of discriminatory against wheelchair users.

restraint is self defence and stopping yourself getting injured fighting is trying to hurt someone else ...why am I not surprised you fail to see a difference

TBH we are all arguing on the internet. A few are brave enough to "prove" they aren't just talking BS, others just mock - but we are probably all pricks really.

Njee - a bit over the mark there. I suspect those kids died soon after that pic was taken.

I didn't hit him

No way is it 50 / 50. Off the head I can think of a dozen occasions where someone wanted to start a fight with me but I avoided it. of course it helps if you are not too macho to run away!

Seriously - firstly you avoid the situation, you see what is coming, you don't give them the provocation they need to start, if they really want to fight then you run.

I am a veteran of many a night out in the pubs and clubs of Glasgow and the rougher parts of Manchester. I ain't been timid.

Well if you saw someone attack someone on the street, then the person who got attacked put the attacker into a headlock or whatever, you wouldn't say they were fighting?

And I don't know, do I know you..?

TJ, most of the fights I've seen happen are started with a punch the other person won't even see coming. And by the time the first punch is landed, its quite often very hard to run away.

you should jab not swing with fire extinguishers - a swing gives people too long to duck or get an arm up.
