Sooo came off the bike on some large rocks in Feb and my shoulder/top of arm still has this interesting lump on it. X-ray showed no breaks etc... and doctor, well he didn't really seem to know what it was. The lump itself is soft and isn't visible if I have my arm flat to my side. The area tends to ache a little most of the time but it doesn't really get any worse if I do heavy lifting etc...
Any guesses as to what it could be? I'm thinking that it's an alien that's gonna burst out at any given moment.
After my previous toe thread I'm starting to think that I might just be a mutant actually
2 heads are better than one...
Is it above the muscle and below the skin, gristle like texture, can you sort of get your fingers around it and move it away from the muscle. Then I'd guess Lipoma. Not scary. Easy to remove if you don't want to make a feature of it. Worth getting another doc to confirm. I've had one removed and have another which is unobtrusive.
Thats not a strange shoulder lump, its the first signs of a muscle growing
I'd suspect tendon damage to the posterior Deltoid, that is used to raise your arm up inline with your shoulder blade, so mot a common everyday excercise/movement under load.
X Ray won't show this and if you were too man to tell the doc the level of pain or when it hurt more he either couldn't clearly diagnose or CBA.
Ask to see another doc or be referred to a osteopath and be honest with them, most will give good manipulation and get to the route of the problem by way of forced agony so be honest with them tho avoid this...
Physio and shoulder strenghtening may sort it, you do seem under developed up there for a male 😉
Now i am not some fancy city type doctor, but i reckon that is the first signs of monsterism.
