I've been wanting to build my first bike for a wee while when, a few weeks ago, i broke my wrist cycling to work. Just when i'm able to ride again some douche steals my bike so fate has forced my hand and i'm now commited to crafting my own bike made from parts sourced here.
I'm looking for pointers and advice basically, i don't have a massive budget; around £400 with which i'd like to build a cyclo-cross preferably or a decent XC.
I'm fairly new to these forums but i know enough to expect wise-crackers so lets be having you.
To be honest at that price point you're better off buying off the peg bike. But if you want to go for custom build then maybe second hand parts is the best option. Let me have a look for a build I'll post back soon
