Just seen a news piece about it on TV...looks a stunning place...are you able to go there and move around the place? Would quite fancy a trip over to just explore it...
Very difficult to get to. Need to hire a boat, and it's a long journey. It's also usually very rough. In addition it is now a bird sanctuary, and I think you need permission from RSPB to land. Day trippers are most certainly not welcome.
Need permission from National Trust For Scotland.

Plenty of other islands much closer on the west coast.
Rhum and Eigg, Colonsay would have a similar feel in places. just not as remote.
Yes you can go, there are a number of boat trips go there from the Hebrides. NTS do a work party there too.
One of the best places i've ever been to, would love to go sea kayaking there again.
We looked into it when we were in the Outer Hebrides this year but it was quite pricy, even for a day trip - something like £180 per person.
