Was doing 55mph in a 50 zone - what's the likely outcome from it ?

55 on the speedo means you were probably actually doing around 50.
Allowing for some tolerance I'd be very surprised if you got a ticket.
I here speedo's are set a bit fast so hopefully 55 indicated will be a bit slower etc.
It's the speed limit + 3mpg + 10% isn't or something which would make it 58mph.
I'd agree, not much chance of getting nicked IMO. Your speedo will be quite a way out already and they generally give you some leeway. if you want to satusfy yourself, drive along at 55 with a GPS device in the car, you'll be amazed at the difference. My car is terrible, it reads 80 when it's doing 72. The wife's is a lot better but still reads 70 when she's doing65.
My speedo (2007 Ford Focus) is about 10% faster than the reported GPS speed.
Fingers crossed then, guess i'll known within two weeks.
FYI it's a Ford Fiesta, 54 Reg so hope the speedo is a bit out.
35 in a 30 had to do the speed awareness thing. Fingers crossed.
