Might be opening myself up but how about naming and shaming those songs that you secretly like but would never admit to. I'll start.
East 17's xmas no1 Stay and S club 7's Reach. So far removed from my usual taste but they always get me singing along when I hear them.
Your turn 😳

NEVER apologise for your taste in music, if they can't take a joke, then f&*k 'em...

Eagle by ABBA, corny as hell, Love it. Alcohol by the Millionaires, makes me smile every time. The Fear Lilly Allen.

I have dreadful taste... 8)

"Oops, I did it again" by Britney Spears......as a bass player, it's a great song to play and the bass playing (by Larry Campbell)on the original track is strangely infectious (like swine flu maybe?).

Do you want me to name and shame them for you mullet boy. Actually, better not, because you could probably do the same to me. What happened in the village stays in the village. Didn't Karen do a wonderful rendition of 'stay' at a party somewhere?

'Eagle by ABBA', much prefer Leatherface's version.

See also: Belinda Carlisle Circle in the Sand.

I guess it's something to do with childhood radio listening habits.

I really like Kelly Osbournes second album.
One Word is ace and the rest aren't too bad.

+1 for Belinda Carlisle too!

Under the Boardwalk always gives me horrendous school disco flashbacks.

As does [url=

this...

There must be a point where this thread combines with the one on the worst song in world... 😀

Not ashamed in the slightest, but find it strange myself that I like Girls Aloud.
Got a bunch of MP3s given to me and a GA album was on there. Stuck em on the iPod and whenever they come on.. maybe its because I see them in my mind.. cos I also like Holly Valance('s music).
It's just good ol' POP music innit.

dobbo - Crass and the Ketchup Song?? I thought I had problems!! 🙂

Always partial to a bit of country.

Dolly Parton, Don Williams, Billy Jo Spears anyone?

Got laughed at 14/15 years ago at glastonbury for knowing all the words to Johnny Cashs' set. Now it seems everyone's a fan.

Duran Duran, although I'm not quite old enough to have got them first time around. Nostalgia for a decade I didn't really know. Odd.

+1 for Kelly Clarkson, on the odd occasion I've had it on in the car I've been very careful not to crash. Imagine the humiliation when the emergency services turn up and it's playing merrily along....

I love thrash, death, black and industrial metal.

And showtunes. I find that "When You're Good to Mama" is a surprisingly good biking tune...

I happily admit to absolutely loving The Carpenters 'Goodbye To Love', and ABBA's 'The Day Before You Came', (covered by The Real Tuesday Weld), and 'Cassandra', both on More ABBA Gold. Love those songs to bits. Rather fond of A-Ha's early hits, too.

I had Camoflage played at my wedding!

That used to be a popular spin at my sister and her boyfriend's parties, until it was "mysteriously" scratched beyond playability. 🙂

I used to be into metal, but I never had any albums by the bands that have since become semi-fashionable, like Metallica or G'N'R, only frankly dire ones by the likes of Megadeth, Biohazard and Anthrax. I tried to sell them all a few years ago and the record shop bloke offered me three quid for the lot. I may dig them out next time I'm at home. 😯
