I've reported this to Tech. As always, any further info would be helpful.

I’ve been getting dodgy redirects for a day or so - not smut, but fake “you’ve got a virus” things.

Can somebody tell me how to get these, I feel I’m missing out somehow. 😐
Perhaps if I changed my default search engine back to Google from DuckDuckGo which is what I usually use?

Might be browser dependant. Had several attempted redirects from STW per day when using Chrome, triggering McAfee "Whoa, don't go there" messages. Now using Edge without issue.

Yeah, yesterday was rife with redirects and 'Woah, you sure?' Messages. I didn't have a quick shuffle in M&S car park though, shame as they've a cracking window display.

I’m still getting redirects, on both Mac and iPad.

Nothing on Mac or iPad although last week the iPad started showing ads only on STW. I did a reset and reinstalled all apps and everything is fine again.

It's so funny, we once had an irate customer call up going mental about porn ads in one of our sites, we had to deploy our best diplomats to explain very gently that the ads were because of his previous browsing history.

I frequently had to rebuild the MD's PC because one of our suppliers kept sending him tiny thumbnails of naked, compromised ladies.

Bit late for me, I've just clicked back to stw after some 'internet research'*. I've not had any dodgy links of any sort, it would add some mystery, like a grot roulette?

*did not contain anything of educational value.

Yep. Forum showing as Not Secure and is constantly "waiting for" umpteen ad sites, then the McAfee "whoa" message comes up when the redirect occurs.

Slightly related, Avast is telling me that this page has 17 ad-tracking systems. I think that is something of a record, beaten only by this page before I logged in, when it was 28.

The only thing I see is an add for boiler repairs; I’m not sure what that’s hinting at...

I think it was Cougar that mentioned that ABP slowed down his browser too much.
Well it ****ing well does on this site! 😆
Working overtime! 😆
I've helped run an Ad funded forum before, without all this shite.
Pity the owners have never taken me up on my offers to help...

They don't need to as they are members of the Institute of Physics
