Assuming you're talking about domestic solar PV install? One of my riding buddies does it, I'll email you his details if you like?

Brighouse based BTW

Thanks guys.

Cheers Woody, John seems like a lovely bloke. Gave me lots of info and what sounds like a decent price.

Just keep it under 3.68kW or apply for a generation connection so I don't have to send the boys round.

Please.

See - I asked nicely and all.

And beware of your obligations under the ESQC Regs if you go over 3.68kW too.

They don't require direct sunlight, but the joke still stands ๐Ÿ™‚

It's probably not a problem but you have to know what you're letting yourself in for.

The legal limit is 16A per phase at 230V ie 3.68kW - people often round this up.

Above this level it is not a G83 connection, you have to apply for connection from Northern Powergrid, you are liable for reinforcement costs (if any) and you have a legal requirement to have maintenance procedures.

Drop me an email (in my profile) and I'll send you a phone number if you want to chat. I was until recently the design boss at Northern Powergrid so I may have a little helpful knowledge.

Cheers igm, I'll be in touch, forewarned is forearmed.

Ton, if I decide it's a realistic option, I'll give you a shout too.
