Fianlly after spending months talking about went for a run last night, having done plenty of road riding of late me cardio has vastly improved and wow what a difference to previous running efforts. Breathing much better controlled ended up doing just over 6 km non stop. I did however sweat like buggery and my legs are a little tender now. Was this a bit too much to start and when should I run again? I'm thinking a gentle run tomorrow nightmaybe. I'm must confess I actually enjoyed it!

wait until your legs aren't sore then run again - and repeat

What iDave said.

I hate running, but nothing else does the job of keeping me fit. I've got very wonky feet so I need shoe inserts too, but I try and do 8km four times a week.

Since doing it, my bike fitness has improved in leaps and bounds.
