That doesn't sound very healthy!
Good job I opted for an iDave lifestyle then.
Wow its a lifestyle now...has someone done an app for it yet?
I want intellectual copyright on the idea when a nerd on here does this.
"than those who do not participate in such diets, research published on bmj.com suggested"
well it is a resounding, clear cut, scientific link between low carb and cardiovascular disease.
Atkins has been called unhealthy many times before.
than those who do not participate in such diets, research published on bmj.com suggested"
That is how science words think i shall translate to STW for you
If you have a low carb, high protein diet you will die from a heart disease FACT
iDiet/4HB aren't low carb diets.
From another thread: http://www.medpagetoday.com/Cardiology/Atherosclerosis/4467
"Women who say no to carbs, but yes to protein as recommended in the South Beach and Zone diets, do not increase their risk of coronary heart disease, according to researchers here. And women who consume low-carbohydrate diets that emphasize vegetables rather than animals as the source of protein and fat may be rewarded with a moderate reduction in risk of heart disease."
so does smoking cause cancer still, or is the rise in cancer cases more closely associated with the rise in popularity of combustion engines?
A couple of quotes from the BMJ article
Thus, the results of our study, although indicating that low carbohydrate-high protein diets tend in general to be detrimental to cardiovascular health, do not preclude that dietary regimens low in refined carbohydrates and high in plant proteins or unsaturated lipids could have no adverse effects on cardiovascular health.
In fact, we saw a tendency for the incidence rate ratios to decline with longer follow-up. Information on waist:hip ratio was missing for a large fraction of the cohort, and data on drugs for cardiovascular diseases were not available (the relevant registry was not operational during most of the follow-up period). Finally, we did not have data on blood cholesterol, an important risk factor for cardiovascular diseases
So yet another flawed and inconclusive piece of research.

[/url]Urologists should be aware that bicycling is a potential and not an infrequent cause of a variety of urological and andrological disorders caused by overuse injuries affecting the genitourinary system.
That doesn't sound very healthy! etc etc etc... 🙄
Wow, that article practically writes itself off! If I wrote papers with that little thought to contributory factors they'd quite rightly be ripped to shreds and not published.
Seems the dietary survey was self-reported too, and that's notoriously pointless as proved by the makers of this programme:
http://www.channel4.com/programmes/secret-eaters
and dozens of folk who eat healthily yet are 10 stone overweight.
