Never used sniper software before, does it still work?
College here, mentioned eBay had put safeguards in to stop automated sniper bids?
Is this correct?
If not, what free services are worth trying? I normally wait to the last second to bid on stuff on eBay, but not going to be about for something I want.
I wish they would stop snippers, but that doesn't seem to be the case, can't offer any advice or help, just don't use ebay anymore.
I use Hammersnipe, and have done for years. 3 goes a week for free, bids in the last 10 seconds. You can pay a pound or two and get more than the three bids per week, have it bid in the last 1 second or have bid groups so it'll only buy one out of a list of items.
I can't see why people don't like it. If everyone puts in their max bid ahead of time then they'll still win it if no-one wants to pay more. I just like to pay as little as I can get away with. I still like to bid manually and probably win more that way but a sniper is invaluable if you're not at a PC. I love my iPhone eBay app!!!
I've used the myibay sniper for a while. All the stuff robdob lists as chargable extras are free basic functionality with myibay iirc.
It also has a firefox ad-in that integrates really well. Never had any problem. Highly recommended.
