I bought a frame off another forum and got my fingers burnt.

Haven't heard back from the seller yet, but just considering the worst case scenario.

Who has gone through small claims court and won? What was the procedure? What were the costs?

Thanks.

Been through - won by default over a car bought from a dealer that went kaput after 800 miles. Bailiffs never managed to recover the money, so ended up out of pocket for car, court fees, and bailiff fees on top of that.

Not worth the hassle - it's worthwhile to settle disputes between two honest people, but otherwise, pointless.

I've been 3 times, one the first two, second settled out of court.

i wouldn't bother. It costs at least a couple of hundred in fees, and theres almost certainly no chance of getting the money back. You'll probably win, but "enforcing the judgement" is down to you and although you can order bailiffs in, they are pretty useless.

Mine went ok because i took reputable business's to court. If someones deliberately ripped you off, it doesn't work very well.
