Have cancelled sky today so now thinking about what next if anything I should be looking at....

What was your motivation for cancelling?
If it was just due to cost and you have Virgin available in your area you should have tried getting a discount from Sky first.
As for alternatives, it depends what you want (stuff that's on freeview, specific channels, movies, sport etc.) and how often you watch them
You can get Netflix free for a month - that's about all the time you'll need to blitz watch the good stuff.

Only thought I would look at what else I should be considering. With 30 day notice period I have some time to make my mind up.
So I have the premium pack so movies and sport. And HD.
Just having a very quick look Virgin it is available and over an 18mnth contract I'd save over £400.
Sky did offer a £18 discount for 10 months.
