I’ve read about VPN but does this work ok and does anyone have any recommendations please?

Easiest way is to get a slave router and connect that to a VPN then connect the sky go device to the VPN network. This works fine on tablets and mobiles and PC's.
My plan is to use a PS4 as they SKY Go device for the main TV.
Didn't work in France this week if that helps.
using Express vpn here in Germany but i'm in London Docklands apparently.
Mine worked in France but I have a router on a fixed IP address in the UK which I've set the VPN up on.
I configure one of these to direct all traffic through the vpn and plug it in the back of my normal Orange router.
Sky Go devices then connect to the mini router network only.
