Girlfriend wants to record the Badminton horse stuff which is on BBC1 via the red button. How do I do it? I assume I can't just record whatever is on BBC1 at the same time and then press the red button whilst watching the recording?

No, sorry...you can't record anything "interactive" on sky+

She can see horses being mistreated on iPlayer later I'm sure.

Thanks, but misstreated?!

This isn't horse racing/steeplechase where horses are ridden until they have a heart attack or have a fatal fall over a jump.

Its cross country/showjumping/dressage, as a rule the horses love it and get pretty excitable. They even lose points if they are too fast round the XC course to stop horses been ridden too hard!

Sorry, I should have put a smiley in there...I was only mildly taking the mick. I know of all the events, in Badminton type stuff, the horses aren't really mistreated. They're born wanting to saddle up and do it, they love it, they know when they're in the limelight and they bask in the attention. 😛

Fair do's 🙂

I think I'm going to find out over the next year or two exactly how much more expensive than mtbing this eventing lark this is...

Horse trailer and tow vehicle (read campervan!) is imminent, making several years of mtbing and 5 bikes between us look really good value!

(If anyone sees an Iveco Daily 35c mwb panel van for sale, let me know! They are pretty rare as I need a twin wheel version, which few people buy as you can't get a pallet between the wheel arches)

Does the red button stuff show up on another channel? On my freeview box its channel 297 or something. I can record it from there, you don't get the interactive stuff, just what's being shown. Not sure about sky+

If you have a hard drive recorder as part of your DVD box you can put Badminton on via the red button and record to the DVD hard drive.
