Looking for a sit on kayak, well 2, short ones, ideally up to 2.5m long so will go straight in back of van? Any recommendations? Cheers
I think that's pretty short even for a single seat sit on top, my nomad is 2.9m long.
Found these at 2.4m with seem to have good reviews:

Wilderness system ripper (I think someone else make them now) v short but has sufficient Skeg, very good in the surf as well. How heavy are you? Short on buoyancy for the larger paddler
This what you are after. Its the Mix from Titan kayaks. A great playboat design sit on top.

Thanks, 80kg me but kids will use too who are much lighter obviously. Can't find the Titan Mix in UK, USA only?
No, available in the UK. Try these guys - http://shieldspaddlingcompany.co.uk/search?controller=search&orderby=position&orderway=desc&search_query=titan&tm_submit_search=
Let them know Phil from Unsponsored sent you over.
If you get one to short you will struggle to keep it in a straight line better of with a feelfree nomad/move and roof bars
Bookmarked
2.5m is too short for an adult sot unless you go for the riverrunner playboat style like the one phil is plugging (which is ace but perhsps not ideal for flat water or sea)
Have you thought about an infltable? Check out the gumotex safari 330

Shields paddling has been set up by the son of my husband's mate as his leaving school business plan. Be great if people can support them (if it's the right boat of course), as he's a good lad trying to work hard.
What about one of those one's that split into 2 or 3 parts? You can have them as a single or add another piece and it's a double.
Yeah - I bought one of them for a similar (ease of carriage) issue. In fact, I'm now looking to sell it.
Making up 2 x 1 man kayaks would need 4 parts and they're pretty big.
I have 1 x front, 1 x middle and 1 x end piece so can make a solo or a tandem.

Thanks for leads, going to see some later this week & hopefully get out soon if the weather holds. Chucking straight in van would be great hence looking for shorty ones, getting too old/weak/lazy with the faff of trying to load and unload on high roof bars.
Scotsroutes - just wondering why selling, too much hassle with these?
What sort of van you got? I chuck my 3 metre feelfree kayak in the back of my Peugeot expert with room to spare
redstripe- selling as we invested in a couple packrafts and my van is now a camper so I'm out of space/lugging capability.
The concept is pretty sound. We had a tandem SOT but getting it onto the roof of a Trafic took some doing. The 3-piece solves that problem as well as giving the 1 or 2 seat option. FWIW you can buy as many "middle" sections as you want and go on extending it 🙂
