Beans, patak's Madras paste, sultanas, dark soy on the toast before the beans go on.

I'm with Jamie - beans on cheese on toast. Toast needs to be brown and properly thick, not the thin pre-sliced variety.

Bit of Worcestershire Sauce on the cheese while still melted, and Tabasco mixed into the beans.

The whole thing should be eaten with good crunchy pickled onions

That sounds utterly vile.

I don't think that can even be called beans on toast.

Toast thick slices of fresh white tin loaf.

Lay a slice of corned beef on each.

Spoon over hot Heinz beans.

Spatter with brown sauce.

C'est la nourriture des champions

Jamie has the right idea.

Corned beef? We'll have none of that extravagence here.

On the subject of beans - I spotted these in the freezer section yesterday. They look GOOD.

A once favoured snack now dead to me!

Too much fibre (probably on top of all the fruit I eat), leaves me in agony for hours after eating them - which is a shame.

For your next gastronomic delight, surely just Jacket with beans and cheese should be on the menu non?

Beans on toast with grated cheese put on top of the toast before the beans go on.

Sprinkle a little chilli powder into the beans while cooking, cook for a while to get sauce to thicken a bit & then pour onto the toast & cheese.
