Question for the gamers - I really liked the Tomb raider (2013 version) game that came with my sons Xbox 360 last year. Are there any similar games? I like the combination of fights/stealth, and puzzles. I've tried Skyrim, but cant get on with swords and magic and endlessly running around, I prefer more of a story and like the stealth in Tomb raider of using the bow rather than the gun.
Thanks in advance for any recomendations.

The Prince of Persia games are pretty awesome if you like that kind of thing. Enslaved was pretty awesome too, though a bit more combatty. The Assassin's Creed series (skip the first one!) has an awesome combination of stealth, action and running around, and pretty good plot too (Assassin's Creed 2 / Brotherhood).

Yeah Tomb raider was a good one, surprisingly good actually, stunning level design in particular.

As for recommendations; any of the Batman Arkham games, Asylum and City in particular are superb.

Nice to see someone else liked Enslaved, it got pretty mediocre reviews and it doesn't have much by way of stealth but I thoroughly enjoyed my play through.

I loved Enslaved. Pretty basic in terms of gameplay mechanics, but I enjoyed the simplicity and I thought it was brilliantly written and acted, which is unusual for a game. Not the best plot, but I really cared about the characters.

Theif is pretty poo TBH and it's a shoddy remake of Dishonored which was great.

The first Assassins Creed was the best but there's a lot of running round as it's kind of open world so might not fit the bill for you.

The Batman games are awesome and Enslaved was pretty good as well.

You could try the Splinter Cell games or the Metro games 2033 and Last Light, a bit of stealth with some FPS action thrown in.

Monkey himself was brilliantly realized, the way he moved, he was voiced by Andy Serkis (AKA Gollum) which certainly helped.

I'd agree the gameplay was pretty simple, the artistic vision behind it however was stunning, "post-apocalyptic New York" is a pretty familiar trope but in Enslaved it just looked stunning.

I liked the simplicityof Enslaved, but then I'm rubbish at games. It definitely looked stunning though, and Serkis was brilliant as always.

I'd disagree about Assassin's Creed being the best of the series; I've played the first three, and I thought the first was by far the weakest. Too repetitive, and the combat wasn't brilliant. I thought they really nailed it with 2, then polished it even further in Brotherhood.

Yeah. I got bored with Assassin's Creed, but got really pulled in by the second one.

Stock answer to this question, Red Dead Redemption. Track down the GOTY edition, it has the expansion and all the DLC included.

The thing with AC was it was so different to all other games around at the time which is why it stood out for me and still does.

I think you will love the uncharted games, unfortunately they are playstation titles. I liked them so much when a mate showed me them I bought a cheap ps3 to play them, I think they will appeal to you.

Yeah I know what you mean, when I first played AC I was blown away; after the first couple of cities I lost interest in doing basically the same thing over agein. AC2 took that sense of awesome freedom and actually built an equally amazing game around it. Plus Ezio is a much better central character than Altair.

There's loads of deals on the Xbox Marketplace at the moment, not sure if there#s anything good in there. You can pick up the earlier AC games and Enslaved for buttons anyway, same for Prince of Persia.

Try Shadows of Mordor.

There is swords, but you kill things with your bow too.
