I'm going to the F1 at silverstone in a couple of weeks and was wondering where the best places to view are with a general admission ticket? obviously somewhere near a big screen would be nice

+1 for the essentialness of a radio with headphones. Are you just going on race day (ie, will you have to pick a spot and keep it?)? If so, we like the end of Vale, outside of the track on the entrance to the last corner, you can see a screen, you're near the start, you'll know who's pitting before anyone else and it's handy for the finish and podium. If you're there for more or other days, just have a wander about - enjoy!

Me and Mrs Bucko are also first timers, going for the friday, saturday and sunday with general admission tickets. We're camping and really looking forward to it.
Really need to get a portable radio but not expecting to need ear plugs since the change to turbo engines
