We will be in touch
Been to a couple of yoga classes recently, since I had a problem with my back and wanted to improve my core strength. Never thought I'd end up doing yoga, but there you go.
I'd like to try and do it regularly, ideally every day, so I'm looking for some short (~15 mins) routines I can do it the morning. Any out there on the interwebs that people would recommend?
Go onto pinkbike and search for abi and yoga. You will find several 15 minute bike related options.
If you have an iPhone/iPad/Apple TV buy the Yoga Studio app for £2.99. I use it most days and it's a million times better than any video, DVD, etc I've ever seen.
I took up yoga in October as a means of doing some steady exercise and filling otherwise void time when away in London.
I had a 4 week gap between the last class in December and Monday.
My hamstrings are now so sore I can't walk properly.
You have been warned!
Sun salutations are quite a traditional morning practise..
^^^ you really shouldn't be stretching so much or putting in so much muscular effort that you ache afterwards 😯 supposed to be relaxing innit, not a Glasgow TKD class!

Er, depends on the class style, your level of flexibility/fitness, etc.
I have very tight hamstrings. When I did lots of exercise I used to stretch them. I've done pretty much nothing since 2012, so it's no surprise they're sore. I'll be fine for next week and then back into the swing of things.
Cheers for the advice.
Last night's class involved a lot of hamstrings, feeling it a little today, but not in a bad way.
Our teacher says at the beginning of each class not be violent (i.e. push it so far), but to push yourself a bit, to be "on the edge," so you get the most out of it. Seems sensible.
i used Abi's yoga for cyclists lower back something or other and its brilliant. i do it twice a week and cant rate it enough. You could shorten it to 20mins or so no problem.
Abi on PB wins the Internet.
Another recommendation for Yogastudio. It's a great App that my OH and I use all the time.

+1 for Abi and yoga15 I use YouTube on smart tv just search Abi Carver
Another recommendation for the Yoga Studio iOS app, it's one of the very few apps I've ever actually paid money for, for £2.99 it's an utter bargain.
It's brilliant, I do a 15 minute routine myself most mornings. You can pick a routine to target specific areas/problems with different durations.
yoga with adrienne is pretty good introduction to yoga..very gentle and pace is slow, its helped me with general aches and pains from tightness...and is nice to do too..
I've started classes too. Intention is to target my weak core, increasing inflexibility and to prevent reoccurrences of my numerous back and neck injuries. Only had one class so far and found it tough in a good way. I can't even achieve the 'rest' positions properly, so looking forward to some serious improvement.

Also sounds great. I'm tending towards Abi Carver though. Can't quite put my finger on why...
