MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
I'm selling a new Macbook Pro on eBay and the highest bidder is someone with no feedback. It's likely to go for over £1000 and I need the money and would much prefer it to go to someone with some feedback history.
I've worked out how to restrict the item to buyers with positive feedback, but is it morally wrong and a bit kneejerk to do this? Would you do the same, or take your chances with someone with no feedback?
Fair enough to me
2nded,
there will be more than a few people bidding at that thinking its you logging on under a fake user to bid the price up.

This works really well untill you get a bit greedy and buy your own tat back on ebay. And get all excited about winning something before you realise what it is... 😳
If you like the idea of paying to post your expensive item off to this annonymous buyer before recieving a penny, carry on with the auction!
If Paypal get a positive feedback from the buyer, you will then get your money.
"Feebay" isn't good value anymore. They are uber slow to resolve issues, but uber fast at taking their fees from you.
My advice is to encourage buyers to contact you via email (put it in your ad) and then seal the deal outside of eBay. Pull the ad before it finishes, accept cash on collection and just pay the insertion fee. Simples!
Give "Feebay" and "Gaypal" some of their own medicine!! 😀
Tried that Spongebob, the guy pulled out by emailing me when I was 10 miles away from home to the agreed meeting place. Fortunately the email sprang up on my phone and I turned around.
I asked to meet in a bank for security so the guy is probably dodgy (eBay user id lee5098 for future reference).
This is why I always list in my ads for expensive gear "advertised elsewhere" then you get genuine buyers asking where and how much. Then it's down to you sort the good and the bad. Works for me. I know it's not right but like said in other posts, eBay/paypal is quick take your fee's etc but what a process to resolve any issues.
