Bought a shiny new Makita LXT angle grinder recently. The thought of having this in the same location as my bikes is a concern as it is a great tool for going through locks.
I have thought of buying a padlock that I can thread through the angle grinder discs to keep it from being used by anyone breaking in. I don't really want to keep the angle grinder in the house. What do other folk do to ensure that tools like this are not used by scrotes breaking in?

Or you could buy a metal kit box and lock them in there.

or switch off the electricity to your shed
edit: which is of course useless as that is a cordless model ๐Ÿ™ (and very nice too)

If you can find my grinder in my garage you deserve my bike.

On occasion I can't even find it and I know where it's supposed to be.

Yup, batteries in house or hidden in the shed/locked in a box.

Or hang the grinder on some chain as a booby trap Home Alone style. Just don't forget it's there yourself.

Lock the disks to one of the bikes with a short chain

keep the disks in your CD rack or put them to use as drinks coasters

It's not that hard surely, just keep the cutting discs in a different place. I keep the detachable power cable in a different place to the grinder.
