How do i go about scrapping my car? I live in devon nr exeter.
Will i get any money for it?

Its a Suzuki Swift GLS 1.3 W reg, tax runs out end of the month, MOT till June/July.
Recent tyres, front discs and pads.

Scrapping as i cant afford the repairs needed- knock/rattle in the engine (big end bearing???) and an increase in oil consumption presumably related to it, no loss of power. Shame to have to get rid of it really as its a tidy little car.

Otherwise its a tidy little car, ridiculusly cheap to run and goes well.

Not really sure what to do, so any suggestions welcomed

Engine from a scrappy would be about £50...

eBay. Describe it exactly as it is. Some backyard mechanic will buy it to fix it.

Assuming it's driveable just drive it to your local vehicle scrap yard. Scrap metal is a good price at the moment, brother in law got £190 collected for his Rover a few weeks ago & a colleague got £250 for a Frontera just last week.

aye, just ring round a bunch of scrappies and get prices off 'em. if you take it there you'll get more than if they collect. otherwise ebay's not a bad shout.
oh - and read the instructions on the V5 WRT scrapping. 😉

i'd just go the ebay route. a small economical car with 3 months mot is worth £250 on there
