In the last couple of months Safari, on my MacBook Air, is unable to open certain tabs. For example, heat maps on strava or available stock on certini. These sites work if I open them in google on the same pc and they work if I open them in safari on my iPad. So I assume that I have done something to the settings but can't work out what it is. I've deleted all cookies, restarted and checked for new updates but nothing has worked - any ideas? Thanks

Do that, then?

When you say tabs are you talking about bookmarks? By "Google" do you mean Chrome or the search engine?

When you say 'tabs' do mean saved bookmarks? Could it simply be the address of the page you have bookmarked has changed so the bookmark has an out of date address.

If I search for strava, log in, go to the dashboard drop down menu and select heat maps then I just get a blank page

If I search for vanguard, log in, go to the 'what we offer' drop down menu and select lifestrategy funds then I just get a blank page

Yes to google chrome, everything works fine

Everything was working fine on safari a couple of months ago

Thanks

Just checked on my M2 Air, Safari and Strava heat maps load OK.

What model Air do you have, what operating system and what version of Safari?

You're pretty far behind on updates!

You should update to MacOS Sonoma which is 14.x

And assuming that last line is Safari I think you should be on version 17.x (but you need to update your OS)

@thebunk, downloading sonoma now, I’ll check back in 5 hours! Does it remove Big Sue automatically once sonoma is installed? So much for automatic updates! Thanks again

@cloudie yes, you don’t need to do anything other than run the updates, Big Sue will be no more 😅
