I'm trying to find a rucksack with some internal compartments or pockets. Plenty of the ones I've found have the usual pockets outside, which is fine, but none seem to have anything internal. Some have 2 or so separate large compartments but no smaller zipped/fastened compartments for smaller items. It's for general use myself, not for anything in particular. If there's any that are water proof/resistant even better.
Has anyone got any suggestions or recommendations?

Thanks

A bit left field but you could have a look at Lowe Alpine camera bags. They do rucksack style bags with compartments inside.

I have this. https://road.cc/content/review/evoc-commuter-18l-backpack-278587

It's great.

It was nowhere near that expensive!

Try Conterra, you would have to Import from USA.

This pack is made for Mountain Bike / Ski Patrol First Aiders, but has what you are looking for.

I have a Victorianox laptop bag you can have if you want it. Plenty of pockets inside, more compartments than you can shake a stick at - I use the Osprey version. Not as many pockets but lighter and more comfortable to wear.

Try the f-stop camera bags. They make their ICU (Internal camera units). You can divide it up how you want and any bag can become a camera bag (or a bag with lots of internal compartmentS)

F-Stop ICU

Most packs are set up without internal dividers

Take a look at commuter style packs or those for laptops. Alternatively look at 5.11 (eg rush series) that allow for internal organisation with extra pouches or the 5.11 covert range. Other tactical bags might also work, they come in a relatively plain outer format

Crumpler used to have a few. They're excellently made and their customer service is brilliant. £££ but I'm using it 13 years later and looks like new

Mrs_oab has a Patagucci bag that's exactly this. If anything it's got too many internal pockets and bits, including laptop sleeve.

But that says it - its a work/travel pack, not a biking pack.

In the spirit of giving just one more different recommendation, look at 5.11 for their daysacs. They are a "tactical" brand, but have a couple of models in normal colours that might work for you. I have a "24 hour" daysack of theirs in a sandy colour that has a main pocket big enough for two 15" laptops and a bunch of smaller pockets.

I think it is the older version of this: https://www.511tactical.com/se-en/rush24-2-0-backpack.html

I was given a swissgear backpack as a promo thing...sold it in the end but it had a mind boggling array of internal pockets and sleeves, charge ports and bottle holders.

Partly the reason I sold it was I'd loose my passcard for a week and then rediscover it in a hidden zip behind a zip.

So you're saying it turned into a bit of a zippety hoo-hah?

Osprey Daylite plus has internal dividers plus a laptop sleeve. More urban than mountain but still makes a good day sack. Reasonable size as well.
