I’m shamelessly asking for some STW favours and local knowledge here!
I’m hoping to get the family up to Rothbury to see my folks for the first time since last year but am, unsurprisingly, struggling to find anywhere to stay.
We just need 2 bedrooms aith a double bed and two singles for 2 or 3 nights.
Happy to be anywhere within an hour of Rothbury.
Any ideas please local people?
Cheers
Matt

I‘ll give some more thought but you’ll be lucky.

Try Wild Plum - https://wild-plum.co.uk/.
Corinne Joicey is very helpful; if none of their cottages are free you could ask for suggestions - likely to be in the area of Ford and Etal.
Also Crabtree and Crabtree - https://www.crabtreeandcrabtree.com/

Good luck.

Birchwood House, Felton; north of Morpeth, just off the A1.
I stayed there 4 nights a week for 3 months about 4/5 years ago.
Pleasant, quiet, good breakfasts.

Try The Haven, Rothbury.. I stayed there for a couple of nights last year and it was very pleasant,
